Design Technology Coordinator - BLOX - Birmingham - AL

BLOX is looking for a smart, nimble and talented hands-on problem solver. Individual must have good communication and interpersonal skills, self-confidence, and ability to work independently and within a team. Ideally, individual must be comfortable in a start-up environment (i.e. flexible, creative, pro-active, responsive, good sense of humor, and able to deal with ambiguity), process oriented, computer savvy and willing to learn new things.

The position is responsible for aiding the design and production team in the development and coordination of highly accurate models from the initial product design through the installation of the modular component. It is a challenging and critical function within the Company and the candidate will have significant opportunity for growth. Compensation is highly competitive and the start date is immediate.

Required Skills:
  • Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, and Fabrication CADmep
  • Previous BIM Coordination experience
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems efficiently
  • Ability and desire to learn new computer programs (graphic, computing, scheduling, etc.)
  • Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with team members
  • Willingness to work with a diverse group of people
Desired Skills:
  • Previous experience with, Inventor, FAB MEP or other related modeling software
  • General understanding of construction sequencing
  • Experience programing with Dynamo, Grasshopper, or other software API interfaces.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop design and Information rich models for Architectural building components
  • Maintain BIM standard throughout project, and aid in the creation of new BIM standards
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive Revit library of components to use in detail QTO
  • Research and develop integrated tools and processes to eliminate data loss between project handoffs.
  • Work with and communicate regularly with construction, engineering, project management and operations
