Details: The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Planning and performing 3D laser scanning and surveys.
  • Working with Robotic Total Station. Must have knowledge of field survey operations, GPS layout, machine control (set-up and calibration)
  • Registration and extraction of LiDAR data.
  • Research, test, and maintain scan equipment.
  • Generate and assist with 2D and 3D drafting.
  • Assist in creating digital models and mapping of LiDAR projects and other types of traditional survey projects as well as QAQC of collected data.
  • Keeping current with laser scanning methods, software and techniques
  • Quality control review of deliverables
  • Must be able to climb ladders, work around traffic, and work in various weather conditions
  • Good driving record

Qualifications and Education Requirement:

  • A degree in surveying, civil engineering, architecture (or working on one).
  • Revit experience a plus.

Preferred Skills and Details:

We will train how to scan and use the specialized software for 3D scanning. You should be a flexible team-player who enjoys fast-paced, unique projects. You will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to work without direct day-to-day supervision. This position will often require odd hours and overtime depending on the specific project. It may also require the occasional out-of-state travel, although it is rare at this time.
