Revit Modeler - Phillips Lighting - Mississippi

Your Challenge
You will be responsible for development of BIM symbols and providing BIM and photometry database support for our fully dedicated BIM practitioner within Applications Engineering. You will maintain a challenging schedule for production of BIM and associated resources. You will support the process of creating BIM symbols within Revit and crafting supporting databases.

Your Responsibilities
  • Building Information Modeling (BIM) Development
  • Reviewing input data for adequacy and retrieving additional data as required
  • Editing and preparing raw source data for BIM development
  • Assembling BIM family information into Microsoft Excel
  • Cataloging BIMs in Microsoft Access
  • Generating BIM related reports for management
  • Maintaining a literature database directly utilized in BIM development
  • Constructing Building Information Models (BIMs) for all products using Revit Photometry Resource Management
  • Assembling literature and IES files slated for publication into resource database
  • Reviewing photometry for viability and accuracy
  • Generating photometry related reports for management
Your Team
This role supports our customer design community by providing BIM resources necessary for the specification of Philips Lighting products. The BIM support role within the Applications Engineering group provides insight into the specification community and expedites the efforts of our own Product Management, Engineering and Marketing groups. The position resides in Tupelo, Mississippi, but involves interaction with all Philips Lighting fixture manufacturing operations.

What We Are Looking For
  • Candidate must be a skilled AutoCAD and Revit practitioner with demonstrable proficiency in the latest versions of the software
  • Candidate must have a mastery of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access
  • Experience in technical database management is important
  • Superior communication skills are essential
  • The ability to organize, maintain and conclude tasks in a timely fashion is important
Qualifications
  • Candidate must be fully trained in the latest versions of AutoCAD and Revit and have two to five years of practical experience with each.
  • Candidate must be fluent with Microsoft Office with demonstrable skills in Excel and Access.
  • A two-year technical degree in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
