IT System Administrator - LPA - Irvine CA

LPA is seeking a service oriented System Administrator to join its Information and Technology team at its corporate headquarters in Irvine, CA. The primary role of the System Administrator is to maintain LPA’s IT infrastructure that facilitates its ambitious and strategic growth goals. As a member of the Information and Technology team the System Administrator will collaborate with all members of the team, including people with expertise in information technology, information systems and design technology to execute LPA’s vision for technology. The System Administrator will also work directly with all employees of LPA to provide technical support. This is a vital, customer service oriented role that requires strong technical, collaboration and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide day to day support for all network infrastructure including: servers, LAN/WAN, telephony, remote access, internet access, data backups and archival, Active Directory and personal device access
  • Provide technical help and support for 200 employees distributed between four offices
  • Maintain a 60+ VMWare server environment
  • Create & maintain IT security policies
  • Installation and tracking of IT assets
  • Perform daily backup and retrievals
  • Maintain a multi-office network infrastructure
  • Maintenance and training support of conference room A/V systems
  • Collaboration as a member of the Information and Technology team in strategic planning
  • Collaborating to plan and deploy desktop hardware and software
  • Collaborating to prepare for the arrival and departure of employees
Desired Skills & Experience Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of IT Sys Admin experience
  • MCSE
  • Experience with MS Exchange required
  • Experience with databases preferred
  • Strong knowledge of VMWare and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Microsoft Lync experience preferred
  • Knowledge of networking in multi-office environment, MPLS, VPN
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with vendors and service providers
  • Strong problem solving skills with both hardware and software
  • Ability to utilize monitoring tools, and maintenance best practices to maximize uptime and ensure reliable systems
  • Strong knowledge in Windows and basic network security
  • Knowledge of Cisco, Palo Alto, Aruba, Kace, and Riverbed a plus
  • Strong ability to balance multiple projects in a deadline driven environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and a team player
  • Requires some limited occasional travel
  • Self-starter professional who can successfully bring projects to closure within expectations
