Production Coordinator - ESD - High Performance Buildings - Chicago - IL

Position Summary:

We are looking for a Production Coordinator to join our Chicago team. You are responsible to gather information to configure, coordinate, and maintain drawing set-ups and deliverables for a project team. As Production Coordinator, you will setup projects, train staff, enforce ESD drafting standards and contribute to the enhancement of firmwide CAD/Revit processes.
Essential duties and responsibilities

Set up projects for the team to ensure client objectives and ESD/client standards are met by completing the following:
  • Send out project assignments to production partners
  • Process and update files received from client
  • Assist with project mark-ups
  • Plot/print files as needed for other team members
  • Prepare document deliverables for all project issuances
Support project team with the following:
  • Ensure project files are setup and maintained properly; enforce QA/QC drawing protocols and issuance records are successfully completed
  • Keep the Project Manager and others informed about project status and issues that may impact client relations
  • Elicit cooperation from varied of sources and departments within ESD
  • Attend project meetings as required
  • MEP production as required
  • Provide support to implement Group’s overall QA/QC compliance by executing the following:•Digitally scan and archive all QA/QC documentation
  • Update and maintain QA/QC database and monthly reports for TSS Group as needed
Provide CAD/Revit support by providing the following:
  • Follow ESD CAD/Revit Standards and assist in maintaining the standards and procedures
  • Assist the project team with any CAD/Revit issues
  • Administer checklist QA/QC on the project drawings
  • Maintain good communication with engineers to assure successful delivery of jobs, proper communication of issues, and proper documentation for each project
  • Communicate ideas with a positive and constructive approach to improve firm processes
Qualifications / Skill-sets:
  • Possess a working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
  • Understand MEP basics processes and AEC industry standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrate effective organization and time management skills; completes multiple priorities and project deliverables, reports and tasks in a punctual and reliable manner
  • Possess experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical, problem resolution, and trouble shooting skills
  • Possess strong organizational skills with attention given to detail and accuracy
  • Convey a sense of urgency, initiative and ability to drive tasks to completion
  • Exhibit strong communication skills and can confidently interact with clients, vendors and co-workers
  • Maintain a positive, self-motivated, can-do attitude and work ethic with attention given to details
  • Possess the leadership skills that make for a sought-after project team member
  • Able to adapt to new technology quickly
Education / Certification / Experience:
  • A minimum Associate Degree with 2 years of relevant experience in AE industry
  • Bachelor’s Degree in AEC related field (preferred)
  • Autodesk Certified Professional (preferred)
