This candidate must have minimum 5-7 years experience in the Architecture and design field and possess strong communication & personal skills. Candidates must be expert at Revit and AutoCAD and be able to demonstrate their ability to work to a high standard.
The Applications Manager’s role is to supervise and maintain the repository of architecture software applications within the SE Region of the organization. The Applications Manager is also responsible for planning and coordinating user applications and systems necessary to deliver architectural and internal design projects.

Responsibilities
Manage and provide direction for the design teams in support of delivery of architectural and internal design projects.
Liaise with Firmwide Applications team to assist with quality assurance and best practices.
Review and analyze existing applications’ effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
Develop and communicate training and documentation for end users, hold clinics as necessary, conduct new hire trainings and other user-related activities.
Research and make recommendations on software products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.

Position Requirements
Four-year college diploma or university degree in design or Architecture, and/or 6 years equivalent work experience.

Experience with following software applications a plus:
Abode Creative Suite
3D Studio Max
SketchUp
Strong customer-service orientation.
Experience managing applications and/or systems management.
Proven experience in overseeing the direction, development, and implementation of software solutions.
Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
Highly self-motivated and directed.

Digital Design Manager Position

BBG-BBGM is a mid-sized international design firm with 5 offices, three in USA, one in Sydney, Australia and one in Shanghai, China. They seek a Digital Design Manager to help manage the growing design technology needs of the firm, such as Revit, AutoCAD, 3Ds Max, and SketchUp. You will be part of the IT team but dedicated to supporting the needs of their talented design staff.

The Mission:
Provide CAD/BIM support for staff in all 5 of our offices (opportunity for international travel?).
Design, generate and document CAD/BIM content, procedures, utilities and software deployment
Plan and manage our transition from ourexisting AutoCAD processes to Revit BIM.
Manage a training program to evaluate skills of all staff and provide training opportunities in various design programs.
Contribute to our new office intranet development

The Skills:
Professional/courteous manner supporting our staff
Create and keep documentation up-to-date.
Ability to train staff and document learning exercises.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills

Software and technology experience:
Experience in AutoCAD (minimum 2006, 2007/8 is excellent) - Required
Experience in Revit (minimum Revit Building 9.0, Revit Architecture 2008 is excellent) - Required
AutoCAD and Revit network-based deployments, network license management and customizations - Required
Prior experience with CAD standards creation and documentation - Highly Desireable
Experience with 3Ds Max and SketchUp - Highly Desireable
Experience with Visual Basic/VBA macros or scripting to automate tasks - Highly Desireable
