Architectural Resource Consultants is an architecture firm in Irvine specializing in existing conditions building documentation (reality capture). We have been in business since 1997 and provide service nationally. Work with and learn from a team of experts documenting existing conditions thru various means and methods including hand-held laser range finders, total stations and HDS 3D Laser Scanners. Our work processing point cloud data, advanced photo imagery and producing both 2D and 3D deliverables takes us to some very exciting places and has provided us the opportunity to work on some of the world’s most famous structures.

We have an immediate need for revit modelers who can model from point cloud data. This is a temporary 1099 position lasting through the holidays into the new year.

Digital Asset Manager - Cannon Design - Chicago - IL

Revit Architect - Croatia

Revit architect (Junior to mid) based in Croatia, Istria, Premantura near the town of PULA (Europe). You will be working on a mixture of Revit architectural projects; mostly glazing-bldg. envelope type.UK, EU projects but also competitions etc. if desired.

You'll provide training and support for EU+UK offices (mostly Vienna + Berlin) if small scale, in Croatia, for larger scale (Offices converting from CAD to Revit). There are also on-site possibilities at client's Offices.

Timeline might look like this:
  • 1-3 weeks in Pula/Croatia (project work or competitions...and small scale on-line support for EU Clients
  • 1 week on the road (Austria, Germany, UK ?) converting CAD Offices andClients. support, tutoring on location
The position is mainly suited for a younger-dynamic, Revit experienced person who would like to make a change from a large city to rural-coastal Croatia, with occasional EU travelling. They will support flexible working times.

Accommodation in Pula is free (30m2 appartment) and of course when on the road travelling costs will be covered.

In the summer, the idea is to get offices still on CAD but converting to Revit to do this during their holidays, actively with various activities (one is sea-kayaking tours), so this could be also a scope of work IF desired, an extra task, beside the standard Revit project this is on the coast.

Another possibility: You could be based on 3-4 Ha farm; ideal for a green thumb or someone going green; someone who wants to grow their own food. It is an idea, not a must.

BIM Engineer - Tarlton Corporation - St. Louis

Tarlton Corporation in St. Louis, MO are looking for a person to take on the position described below.

Provide Building Information Modeling (BIM) services on Tarlton’s projects. Tarlton executes a wide range of projects and the BIM services required differ from project to project. The BIM Engineer will work directly with the project team to execute the required BIM services providing the maximum value to the project. In addition to BIM, this position will assist with additional technology implementations and applications within operations for Tarlton. Examples include laser scanning, BIM based layout, and mobility solutions.

  1. Create BIMs for concrete projects during estimating to assist with quantity verification and visualization of project scope.
  2. Create BIMs for concrete projects during construction to a fabrication level of detail including formwork, embeds, blockouts, and construction sequencing.
  3. Create concrete lift drawings from the fabrication BIMs for use by the crews in the field.
  4. Manage the BIM coordination process for construction management projects including performing clash detection, reporting, and verification of clash resolution.
  5. Perform 4D scheduling on select projects
