Architectural CAD Director - Revit and AutoCad - Vancouver, BC

Overview
Our client is an international renowned architectural design firm. The incumbent will be the leader and driving force behind all architectural CAD work and standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and mentoring of a team of 5-10; including CAD managers and CAD Support staff
  • Establish and oversee all Architectural CAD standards and practices
  • Coordinate several hundred CAD projects; from very small designs to major architectural projects
  • Remaining current on CAD technologies and Building Information Modeling
  • Planning and forecasting the needs of the CAD design environment
  • Coordinating CAD projects with Project Managers and IT
Required Skills and Experience:

Revit Support Specialist - Canada - Calgary

Position Overview
Working closely with the CAD Manager, this role will be responsible for providing general CAD support to their local team for various design disciplines, including both 2D and 3D work.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Provide and supply technical support for all CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and internal end users
  • Ensure that CAD standards and procedures are properly and consistently followed by end users and PM's
  • Serve as Model manager on small to mid-size Revit projects\Audit AutoCAD projects on the ongoing basis to ensure file quality (eg. Proper let up of layers, user errors, file set up, file recovery, etc.)
  • Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions
  • Assist in training of internal CAD users
  • On the project close up ensure the accuracy and proper archiving of the data
  • Maintain close communication with CAD Manager to ensure that all local office CAD needs are served properly
  • Coordinate auto CAD and Revit work with other disciplines and consultants
  • Maintain knowledge on CAD standards, upgrades, etc.
Minimum Requirements

  • Architectural Technology Diploma/ Architectural CAD Diploma
  • 5+ years experience with drawings and detailing using Auto CAD and 2+ years with Revit
  • Experience assisting others with CAD
  • Technical proficiency in CAD software
  • Experience working on small to medium scale architectural projects
  • Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Flexible attitude
  • Capacity to teach and support others on CAD

Designer - Payette - Boston, MA

Payette is currently seeking a Designer with Revit experience to join its team designing complex healthcare, research, and educational facilities from design through construction. Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor of Architecture degree, strong Revit experience and three to five years of post-graduate experience. Healthcare and lab design experience a plus. Other position requirements are:
  • Demonstrated experience using Revit on complex projects from beginning to end.
  • Strong design skills.
  • Knowledge of space programming, contract documents (including detailing, specifications, production management, design production), and contract administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with various levels of individuals including clients, consultants, and architects.

Building Information Modeling/ Revit 3D Content Developer - TN or TX

About the Position
Under the supervision of the BIM manager, the Building Information Modeling/ 3D Content Developer assists in the development and implementation of the overall Building Information Modeling (BIM) process as it relates to software application, project support and content development. Regularly engages with  design teams to train staff, enhance project performance and generally support the users. Performs other BIM application related tasks as necessary to maintain optimal performance of the process.

Responsibilities
The Building Information Modeling/ 3D Content Developer will take responsible charge for and perform responsibilities on assigned projects which shall include but not be limited to:
  1. Understands and embraces the firm’s vision for the implementation and optimization of building information modeling (BIM) within all aspects of the firm’s services and market sectors.
  2. Communicates among all parties within the firm, division or teams  involved with use of the BIM/3D application to keep everyone informed of changes, updates, etc.
  3. Coordinates and conducts ongoing BIM/3D training for operators at all levels of experience.
  4. Investigate items of significance to the BIM application and keeps abreast of current trends in the computer/BIM Industry.
  5. Responsible for the development and implementation of BIM content and families as a corporate wide support function.
  6. Assists in the implementation of a documented process for the production of 3D modeling as part of the delivery of engineering services.
Qualifications
An ideal candidate will possess the following requirements:
  • A technical school graduate with 8 years of related experience or a college graduate with 4 years of related experience
