BIM Coordinator for BLOX

BLOX is looking for a smart, nimble and talented hands-on problem solver. Individual must have good communication and interpersonal skills, self-confidence, and ability to work independently and within a team.

The position will be responsible for helping to ramp up our BIM based scheduling and job site management efforts for a series of healthcare projects. Aiding the scheduling and planning team in the development and coordination of highly detailed location based schedule models. We have an immediate need to fill this role with a contract hire or a full time BIM coordinator. Compensation is highly competitive and the start date is immediate.


  • Proficient with Revit, Synchro, Primavera

BIM Technician - Bates Architects - Clayton - MO

Bates Architects is seeking BIM Technicians for our St. Louis, MO and Springfield, MO offices to support architectural project teams in the use of BIM tools and workflows across a variety of project types.

The BIM Technician is responsible for maintaining one or more project BIM models and associated project BIM support requirements, ensuring the prescribed performance and quality levels for specific project BIM requirements are achieved. Core responsibilities of the BIM Technician role will span from initial project set-up, ensuring BIM model integrity, managing outputs & performing BIM coordination exercises. This position includes hands-on project work.

Additional responsibilities may include developing BIM specific content, evaluating and testing new software, assisting with Virtual Reality development and workflows, support and development of training procedures for staff members, and assisting users with the daily challenges they may encounter.

The BIM Technician provides technical support directly to project teams and reports directly to the office BIM Manager, providing feedback on project team’s requirements for training, workflows or content.

  • Basic knowledge of & a proven practical background in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks and related BIM software.
  • Solid understanding of legacy BIM / CAD applications and practices, particularly AutoCAD.
  • Additional knowledge of Dynamo/Grasshopper, C# or Python programming languages and Revit API programming is beneficial.
  • Additional knowledge of rendering and visualization platforms such as Lumion, Fuzor, HTC Vive and Oculus Rift Virtual Reality systems is beneficial.
  • Candidates must be able to clearly articulate advanced concepts in a way that team members at all levels can understand.
  • Candidates should possess the ability to teach others to understand and use BIM concepts and tools.
  • Revit/Autodesk certification is beneficial.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to details is a must.
  • The ideal candidate will be a team player with a proactive and problem solving methodology.
  • Degree in Architecture or construction technology based qualification is beneficial but not required.
  • Must possess at least 1+ years of relevant experience with Revit and BIM Concepts and at least 2 - 5 years of AEC related experience.
  • Experience with delivering projects using BIM workflows for production and end deliverables to typical industry standards.
  • Experience with COBie datasets is beneficial

R.A. Smith National (RASN) is a privately held company providing multi-disciplinary services to government and the land development industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares construction documents from data and specifications submitted by engineers
  • Utilizes computer aided drafting techniques to perform applicable work
  • Adds engineering markings to plan sets
  • Alters drawings to conform with engineering changes
  • Analyzes drawings to make sure they are accurate
  • Marks drawings as necessary to indicate any changes that may be required to meet quality control standards
  • Demonstrates an understanding of engineering concepts
  • Utilizes software packages such as Revit and AutoCAD
  • Coordinates work with Project Managers, Engineers, Surveyors, Architects and other CAD Technicians
  • Completes preliminary design work with direction from engineers

  • Associates Degree in drafting technologies from an accredited school and a minimum of three (3) years progressive experience with Revit or a minimum of five (5) years progressive experience with Revit

Minimum Requirements:
  • Assist end-users with all BIM and CAD software issues

BIM Tech - Winston-Salem or Greensboro - NC

This Full-time position with Tech USA is available to be based at one of these two locations.

Overall Responsibility:
Provide BIM/CAD support to projects at the direction of the Operations Manager, Project Manager, or Technical Discipline Lead within the project deliverable schedule.

Essential Functions:
  • Prepares engineering drawings from rough sketches or from general engineering and design information.
  • Transforms marked-up drawings to convert drawings to precise and error-free CAD product.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Directly assist Revit users to efficiently produce high quality project deliverables.
  • Assist BIM Manager in the development of training programs. Act as primary trainer for new Revit users, as well as providing continuing education for current Revit users.
  • Track training program metrics to determine effectiveness.
  • Assist in development of BIM “best practices” for SERA.
  • Assist users with setting up new projects in Revit.
  • Provide direct support to diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve Revit technical issues for all project teams.
  • Assistance in development of, as well as responsibility for implementation of, departmental standards related to document production, archiving practices, auditing protocols, and project set-up.
  • Develop workflow enhancements, content, and the integration of third-party software packages to Revit.
  • Track metrics associated with new workflow efficiencies.
  • Coordinate clash detection on projects.
  • Research, learn, and implement new software that advances design & sustainability efforts.

Education and Experience
  • 2 year Technical Degree, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of BIM/Revit (Architecture) experience required.
  • Experience with the interaction between Revit and software used for solar analysis, daylighting, IES, and other LEED applications preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience providing Revit training, including how to create complex Revit families. Training experience should include in-person, remote access, one-on-one, and group formats.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledgeable of multiple application platforms and complex systems, including Revit, AutoCAD, NavisWorks, Newforma, 3D Studio Max, SketchUp, and Rhino.
  • Understanding of Revit worksharing and Revit Server/C4R.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Revit and project related issues.
  • Ability to create accurate, 3D parametric families for Revit.
  • Intermediate design and production skills required.
  • Ability to balance a wide array of tasks, responsibilities, and commitments efficiently and simultaneously
