Overview

Qualifications

In addition to what’s described above, the candidate we seek will fit the following profile:
  • You must have excellent collaborative and organizational skills. You will be expected to learn the resources of the IT Organization and the Firm, and to engage them when you need assistance or special expertise.
  • An ability to document and prepare materials for training will be expected of you as these are warranted.
  • You must have demonstrated mastery of Revit Architecture, including ability to collaborate, strategize diverse project types and scales
  • A basic ability to provide support or experience providing support must be apparent. Past project experience in Revit is required.
  • Experience with Dynamo, Navisworks, Enscape, 3DS MAX, and advanced rendering techniques are a plus.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Architecture (ACA) is also a plus but not required.
  • Other non‐Autodesk systems experience and knowledge (e.g. SketchUp, Rhino, ArchiCAD, Triforma & Generative Components) is a plus.
  • You may be expected to provide at least light support for Adobe CS products, with Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator possible.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering is
  • desirable, but not required.
  • 5-15 years of professional experience in plumbing or piping design with knowledge of plumbing systems including a combination of waste and water systems, special waste systems, natural gas systems, medical gas systems, specialty lab gas systems and fire protection systems.
  • Registered Professional Engineer, preferred but not required.
  • ASPE CPDT/CPD certification, preferred
  • Design experience relative to medium/large commercial and institutional facilities
  • Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite, preferred
  • Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills

LPA is seeking a passionate Design Technologies Senior Specialist to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and master planners. Experience:
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Expert knowledge of Revit
  • Passion for and ability to promote BIM/CAD technologies and practices
Requirements:
  • Proven ability to implement and support BIM in an architecture, engineering or construction firm.

  • Review and assist with escalated requests for assistance with design software and projects.

  • Partner with designers to identify workflow improvements.
  • Evaluate and forecast emerging technologies.
  • Determine and coordinate software updates and deployments.
  • Initiate and setup project related BIM kickoff meetings.
  • Promote and evaluate the development of high quality models through model review and maintenance.
  • Coordinate the interoperability of CAD, graphics and modeling tools.
  • Conduct research and development or professional development focused on current workflows and software that advances the partnership between the technology team and designers.
  • Engage with project teams for limited engagements on project specific work.
