BIM Engineer - Children's Hospital Colorado

Title: BIM Engineer
Department: Property Planning
Hours per week: 40, eligible for benefits
Shift: M-F 7:30-5:00

Job Overview
Responsible for management of all Children's Hospital Colorado building-related information. This person will work closely with internal department Planning, Design and Construction (PDC) Project Managers and with external architects, engineers and contractors to ensure all documentation is current and accurate. This person must stay current in their knowledge, so as to advise Children’s in best-practice decisions regarding how best to use building information models to support planning, design, construction, and facility management.

The role requires an expert level of BIM modeling ability, and a thorough understanding of how backend data can be managed within and extracted from a BIM model. The BIM Engineer will advise on how to develop internal model families, and manage external BIM families. The BIM Engineer will manage Properties within a BIM Facilities model that will be used by Children’s to support strategic planning initiatives and specific department’s needs. The BIM Engineer will work closely with external BIM modelers, auditing and verifying their work follows Children’s BIM protocols.

Qualifications
  • Advanced to Expert skill level using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Bachelor degree required. Preferred disciplines include information technology, business, engineering, or architecture
  • 5 years experience in Building Information Modeling
  • Experience coordinating, managing, and prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative planning and problem solving skills. Strong organization skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to present information and interact effectively with management at all levels of the organziaton (medical and non-medical staff)
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Experience in a healthcare/hospital setting; experience with healthcare/hospital construction preferred
  • Familiarity with Life Safety and Building Code preferred

BIM Manager - AECOM - Arlington VA

AECOM seeks a Building Engineering BIM Manager to work across several projects with the primary focus of providing support to cross-discipline design teams to deliver using BIM methodologies. You will report progress on projects to the Project Managers on a weekly basis, assist the Director in developing and overseeing the implementation of BIM plans on a project basis as well as provide training to team members and work with the team to maintain the office BIM standard, templates, and libraries.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Attending project meetings
  • Work closely with Architectural BIM manager to provide project support
  • Writing and maintaining project BIM execution plans, with review and approval by the BIM Directors.
  • Monitoring project teams’ use of BIM on projects & reporting progress to the Project Managers
  • QA/QC of project models and communicating issues/errors in the model to project teams to correct
  • Providing training to project teams, as required, in the software used on the project
  • Assisting discipline BIM leads in developing/maintaining the office BIM Standard, including procedures, content libraries, templates, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
Candidates should have a minimum of 7-10 years of direct, cross-discipline project delivery experience as well as a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on BIM management experience.

Software requirements include:
  • 3-5 years experience in Revit MEP
  • 1-3 years experience in Navisworks
  • 1-3 years experience in ACAD AEC platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Architecture (or equivalent preferred).
  • Knowledge of Solibri, ProjectWise, Simulation CFD, ElumTools and current Revit 3rd party add-ins preferred.

Responsibilities
  • BIM setup and project technology planning

Requirements - Qualified candidates will have:
  • High-level of proficiency in Autodesk Revit in an architectural design and production environment, including the ability to administer, install and configure including add-ins
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Autodesk Revit, and an aptitude and comfort level with training and technical support in one-on-one, remote, and in group class settings
  • Expert knowledge in Revit Family creation
  • BS Arch, BArch or MArch (or equal)
  • 5 years of experience working in Revit Architecture in a production, administrative and/or support capacity on projects of differing scales
  • Working knowledge of professional architectural services from master planning and schematic design through construction documents and construction administration
Ideal candidates will also have:
  • Experience with project management, design, visualization and environmental analysis applications such as Newforma, AutoCAD, 3D Studio MAX, Navisworks, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Sefeira and/or others
  • Knowledge of API customization and/or Dynamo
  • LEED Accreditation and/or professional licensure

ZETA is seeking a Revit Architecture Design Technician to work with our building information modeling system to develop shop drawings for multifamily factory built modular projects. This position is located in our Sacramento area factory and will report directly to the Vice President of Manufacturing. The position will also be responsible for supporting the manufacturing operation with respect to information extracted from the Revit modeling system that will be utilized in accounting, manufacturing and costing systems.
