Temporary Position - Revit Structure Modeler

The Neenan Company in Fort Collins, Colorado has the following temporary opportunity available.


Requirements
  • Experienced REVIT Modeler using REVIT Structure 11.
  • Have working understanding of structural plans and details.
  • Available for four months from February 2 through May 4, 2011.
Work
  • Produce structural plans and structural details under the direction of the Structural Engineer on the project.
  • Time will be spent in the structural group of The Neenan Company in Fort Collins, CO.
  • Work will be 8 hours a day for the time period above not to exceed 67 days (536 hours).
Location - Fort Collins, CO
Wage - $14.00 per hour plus benefits

General
  • Work directly with project manager, Lincoln Wood, and Principal, Paul Discoe
  • Archive and organize all project hardcopy materials
Architectural Drafting
  • Support Project Manager and Principal with architectural needs.
  • Use AutoCAD (2010) and Revit (2010) to produce and modify project schematics, details, and drawings.
  • Revit (2010) Familiarity – Family Templates, Family creation, Parametric Capabilities, 3D Modeling,
  • Project Workflow, Sheet Sets, Groups, Project Standards Management (File Management, Project
  • Templates, Annotations, Materials). Site Design, Schedules, Material Takeoffs, and Tags a plus.
  • AutoCAD (2010) Familiarity – Blocks, Project Standards Management (Layers, Dimensions, Lineweight, Plot Styles, etc.), Xref & Overlay, Sheet Set Manager, Plotting, etc.
Potential Secondary Duties
  • Initial point of contact, scheduling of appointments, relaying of messages and other related duties.
  • Maintain office calendar and list of jobs
  • Assist with the preparation of marketing materials [brochures, website, etc.]
Job Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills

BIM/CAD Applications Specialist - Oklahoma

The Benham Companies, LLC is looking for a dynamic person to join the firm’s BIM/CAD Technologies team in the AE Sector as a BIM/CAD Applications Specialist in their Oklahoma City, Oklahoma office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing the entire AE Sector CAD/BIM production staff with technical support in multiple Benham offices.


This is a unique position that will report to the BIM/CAD Technologies Director and will be providing top notch technical support, documentation, training and development to the professional and engineering staff in the AE sector which encompasses Architecture, Interiors, Landscape, Electrical, Mechanical, Structural and other disciplines. Information Technology department is another team that this position will work very closely with to provide a complete integrated product to the end-users desktops.

BIM Support Responsibilities
  • Create initial REVIT Project setup with workflow documents.
  • Initiate Model for each project and prepare for production team.
  • Provide BIM/REVIT project kick-off information.
  • Work as part of a BIM/CAD support team to achieve consistent results.
  • Daily model management administration and maintenance.
  • Provide REVIT Architecture, Structure and MEP desktop support.
  • Over the shoulder training, developing and shadowing to staff.
  • Content creation: Families such as parametric, formula, nested and type catalogs.
  • Work with all disciplines vendors on content download and update to Benham Standards.
  • Support linked views and others in multiple models situations.
  • Integration of REVIT products with other applications (Autodesk, Construction, Cost Estimation).
CAD Support Responsibilities
  • Quickly understand/support all legacy Benham CAD Standards and procedures.
  • Assist project staff in utilization of templates and content.
  • Create dynamic blocks, maintenance of existing libraries.
  • Troubleshoot CAD Plotting Issues: PDF, Printers, Plotters and others.
  • Understand Client-Specific CAD Standards and provide support accordingly.
  • Provide support with 100% internal / external customer service satisfaction.
  • Training in-person and via the web: Standards, software and others.
  • Autodesk products diagnosis and resolution: In-person and via Remote Desktops.
  • Maintain and update standards under direction.
Information Technology Responsibilities
  • Perform hardware testing to ensure best REVIT / CAD performance results on WAN/LAN.
  • .NET / VB / VSTA and Robo-Copy.
  • AutoCAD CUI Customization, configuration and deployment.
  • Autodesk products installation images creation.
  • Log-on scripts, environment variables set-up and group policies.
  • Software installation: Autodesk products.
  • Rendering Farm Implementations: Back-Burner, VRAY, Accurender and 3D Max.
  • Autodesk License Manager set-up, administration and management in LAN/WAN environments.
Job Qualifications/Requirements
  • Architectural Degree plus 4-6 years of experience supporting staff in professional environment.
  • 4 years experience will be substituted for a degree.
  • Eager to support staff with positive attitude and patience.
  • Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  • Utilize skills to fit the Benham / SAIC IT infrastructure and standards as necessary.
  • A minimum of 4-6 years of professional Autodesk products use and support:

Revit Designer - SC

Woods Dantzler of Tech USA represents the following position.


Woods writes: My company is seeking an architectural designer with experience in an industrial environment. The company I a represent is working with an aircraft manufacturer to build several large hangars in Charleston, SC. You will be doing extensive as-built documentation and assisting their engineers with RFIs as needed.

An Associates Degree is preferred and three years proficiency using Revit with industrial experience is a must. Exposure to other BIM systems would be useful as well. The positions will require excellent technical skill with computers and communicating effectively between team members, engineers, etc.

Salary commensurate with experience.

This is a contract position with the goal of evolving into a full-time position.
