BIM Leader - NBBJ - Columbus

NBBJ Columbus is seeking a studio-based Building Information Model expert to lead successful management of BIM production and coordination at a Studio level with specific project participation. The successful candidate will be an innovative designer with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to conduct meetings at all levels of the project.

Key Responsibilities

The Studio BIM Leader understands the strategic importance of BIM for project delivery, while also being proficient at producing a wide range of work using BIM tools. This person will be the champion of BIM in the Studio for Model strategy, BIM education and BIM leadership. This position will offer the individual opportunities to grow within the firm and exposure to an innovative, fast paced and highly collaborative environment.

Skills and Qualifications (required unless otherwise noted)
  • Minimum 7 years of architecture experience
  • Bachelors of Architecture or equivalent degree required; Masters of Architecture preferred
  • Expert level knowledge of Autodesk's Revit Architecture required
  • In-depth knowledge of technology based collaboration systems
  • Proven prior experience with large & complex project delivery using Revit
  • Proven coordination process experience including working with consultants using multiple platforms
  • Deep knowledge in the Autodesk product range including; Revit Architecture, Revit MEP, Navisworks, 3DSMAX and associated workflows
  • Experience with Autodesk related programming languages a plus
  • Previous experience in the design and delivery of complex healthcare projects preferred
  • Ability to communicate and present ideas clearly to a wide audience - from project team members to external consultants and client representatives
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and multiple deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative team environment

Design Consultant - Revit Modeler - Houston

4b Technology Group is a woman-owned independent technology design consulting firm (established in 2002) specializing in the planning and designing of communication systems for large new construction and renovation projects. Our core competencies provide our clientele a level of expertise and objectivity unmatched by our competitors with regard to the assessment, evaluation, planning and design of voice, data, wireless, audiovisual, security and cable infrastructure systems.

We are looking add a team member with architecture, engineering, or technology design experience that will provide Revit/BIM model management and production support for our Revit projects. A background in technology / IT design is a PLUS but is not required.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers to create detailed Revit documentation of telecom, audiovisual and security systems for large facilities and buildings
  • Perform project coordination review between architectural, engineering, and technology models
  • Provide Revit/BIM project model maintenance
  • Implement quality control, technology standards and scheduling in project documents
  • Assist project managers with construction administration and submittal review
  • Attend occasional job site visits with project managers
  • Participate in occasional coordination meetings with project managers, architects, engineers, and owners
Qualifications
  • A self-starter who is able to work well independently but can effectively communicate with team members
  • An energetic, career-minded professional with a strong work ethic
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical capacity
  • At least 1 year of Revit modeling experience
  • Knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD

Freelance Revit Documenter/Drafter - Virtual Office

TFAD is a boutique Architecture practice based in Surry Hills, Sydney. We oversee small scale single residential and interior design projects from conception to completion. You can see examples of our work on our Website.

We are looking for a freelance documenter/drafter with excellent Autodesk Revit skills. You will be working principally on residential projects that have already been documented to tender stage in Revit, making changes or producing new drawings as required.

We anticipate that work will only be required from time to time over a period of 6-12 months, hence the desire to find a freelancer. Some specific requirements include:
  • Excellent Revit skills
  • Experience working within the Architecture Industry
  • Experience working on smaller scale residential projects
  • Experience in creating construction documents
  • The ability to match drawing output style to samples provided by us
  • The ability to read and understand drawing mark-ups provided by us
Your location is not important as long as you are able to communicate effectively via email and file sharing systems like DropBox.

Architectural Revit Drafter/Job Captain - CA

Two Roads is representing an Architectural and Engineering firm with over 30 years’ experience that has been focused in industrial building projects. They are currently seeking a senior level Architectural Drafter or Job Captain.

Candidates must be proficient with Revit and understand how projects are constructed with other engineering disciplines. The candidates must have knowledge of construction documents and interface with senior members of the architectural team and other engineering disciplines (MEP).

General Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years working within the Architecture Industry
  • Must excellent Revit skills
  • Have experience working on commercial or industrial projects
  • Have knowledge and experience creating construction documents
  • Must have strong presentation skills, communication skills to include both verbal and written
  • Must have 2+ years of experience coordinating with consultants, vendors, clients to ensure accurate information is obtain while demonstrating excellent customer service
  • Must understand the construction process and knowledge of building codes
  • Must have demonstrated to work individually while taking little directions
Duration: contract to hire (estimated 6 months)
