Primary Purpose:

Design Applications Manager - Perkins+Will - Minneapolis

A Design Applications Manager engages with project teams and local office leadership in a broad range of activities including BIM setup and planning, software support and training, as well as architectural production work. Requirements:

Qualified candidates will have
  • High-level of proficiency in Autodesk Revit in an architectural production environment, including the ability to administer, install, configure, and set up the application
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Autodesk Revit, and a general aptitude and comfort level with training and technical support, both one-on-one and in group class settings
  • The ability to learn and transition between multiple applications within Perkins+Will’s design technology suite, including Newforma, Autocad, 3D Studio MAX Design, Navisworks, SketchUp, Rhinoceros, and others
  • A minimum of a BS Arch, BArch or MArch (or equal), and 3-5 years’ experience in an architectural/interiors/planning environment
Ideal candidates will also have:
  • A general familiarity with design visualization and environmental analysis applications

Freelance Revit Documenter/Drafter - Virtual Office

TFAD is a boutique Architecture practice based in Surry Hills, Sydney. We oversee small scale single residential and interior design projects from conception to completion. You can see examples of our work on our Website.

We are looking for a freelance documenter/drafter with excellent Autodesk Revit skills. You will be working principally on residential projects that have already been documented to tender stage in Revit, making changes or producing new drawings as required.

We anticipate that work will only be required from time to time over a period of 6-12 months, hence the desire to find a freelancer. Some specific requirements include:

About the Job
Working with project managers, estimators and engineering staff this position is responsible for drafting, design and documentation of electronic video surveillance and access control security systems in large facilities and buildings, which includes quality control, engineering standards, scheduling, and assisting in pre-bid project design review.

Responsibilities include the following
  • Interprets and creates detailed electrical drawings, schematics and illustrations as directed by the Engineering Manager including but not limited to initial sketches for proposals, panel and SJB designs for production, floor plans, block diagrams, point-to-point, door elevations, door details for installation, and as-built drawings upon project completion
  • Determines most effective presentation to assure conformity to applicable codes and specifications
  • Provides for compliance with items such as specifications, tolerances and safety factors when performing highly specialized electrical designs
