Job Description
- Production of architectural BIM models and contract documents and BIM model coordination.
- Perform clash detection in Autodesk Navisworks.
- Use the Revit family editor to build BIM content for building components as necessary.
May include the following items as well as other tasks as needed:
- Draft/generate from redlines: plans, diagrams and schedule in Revit and/or AutoCAD drawings.
- Provide design assistance to Designers and Engineers.
- Produce drawings/projects consistent with instruction, guidelines and CAD/BIM standards.
- Modify Architectural CAD/BIM files for use in design drawings (clean-up, audit, reference and troubleshoot).
- Assist in constructability review.
- Prepare projects for client submissions.
- Work side by side with design teams in-house and external design teams to complete BIM projects.
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field.
- Must be proficient in Revit Architecture 2010, as well as 2D CAD and other 3D visualization and simulation applications.
- Excellent graphic, written and verbal communication skills.
- Coordination the BIM process and coordination of multiple trades.
- Minimum of three (3) BIM projects that involve complex, multi-phase, large scale buildings.
- Thorough comprehension of parametric object-based models, design, engineering/construction models.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion and to set priorities and manage competing demands.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, government regulations and building codes.
- Demonstrate a reliable, responsive and positive work ethic with the highest degree of integrity.
