BIM Implementation Specialist - Beck Group - Dallas - TX

The Beck Group is looking for a BIM and VDC expert to help manage our BIM implementation nation-wide. We want to take our best-in-class BIM implementation to the next level though maintaining design excellence and continued integration into our preconstruction and construction workflows. This position is focused on teaching, implementing, maintaining, and advancing our existing Revit Workflows and Implementation standards set forth by our BIM Process Manager. You will be working on template maintenance and creation, advanced content creation with complex parametric behavior, and leading project kickoff and collaboration meetings. You will be called upon to help projects directly with challenging modeling or documentation tasks. You will need to be highly meticulous and detail oriented with experience working in either Architecture or Engineering in Revit for all phases of Project Delivery.

As part of our process management group in our SWAT team, you will be responsible for contributing to and executing a detailed implementation plan for the processes and technologies you are supporting. You will be part of collaborative teams documenting our existing processes and tools, keeping our project teams operational as new processes are being developed and tools are being changed over, supporting the development of new processes and corresponding technology selections, and then implementing those process and technology changes throughout the company through software deployment, workflow and technology training, and process support.

This role requires a high degree of self-motivation, attention to detail, flexibility, ability to quickly absorb information from fields outside your area of expertise, and a willingness to give and receive constructive criticism.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in complex modeling and project management in Revit including working on large and complex projects, detailed content development, and model quality management
  • A minimum of 7 years of industry BIM practice or management experience
  • 4yr degree in architecture, engineering, construction or similar (applicants with 2yr degree or no college experience may be considered given appropriate work experience)
  • Commitment to advancing design and construction management practices through the use of available tools and technology
  • Commitment to Beck’s Integrated Enterprise and the value of the integrated process
  • Experience implementing design and construction technology and processes
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Experience teaching, tutoring, and training professionals in industry processes and technologies
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills
  • Foundational IT skillset for installing, deploying, and testing software and hardware
