Overview

This position serves as the local representative to the firm-wide team of Digital Practice Managers focused supporting our Revit Architecture application, other BIM tools, legacy CAD applications and other visualization/ presentation production applications in the Dallas office. In addition to local support efforts, this position also will collaborate from time to time on firm-wide initiatives and efforts focused on process and project delivery efficiencies.

Responsibilities

You will provide direct technical support to our architects, interior designers, planners and graphic design professionals for their Projects. You will connect closely with project teams to understand their projects and their needs. You must bring a passion for projects, people, customer service and teaching to this role. Expect to engage all scale of projects from short duration single office interiors engagements to multi‐office, multi‐ year major healthcare projects in your technology support role. You will routinely deliver training. Some travel may be required from time to time in support of offices other than your own.

You are ultimately responsible to the Director of Digital Practice while also reporting daily to the local Operation Director for production project efforts.

Qualifications

In addition to what’s described above, the candidate we seek will fit the following profile:
  • You must have excellent collaborative and organizational skills. You will be expected to learn the resources of the IT Organization and the Firm, and to engage them when you need assistance or special expertise.
  • An ability to document and prepare materials for training will be expected of you as these are warranted.
  • You must have demonstrated mastery of Revit Architecture, including ability to collaborate, strategize diverse project types and scales
  • A basic ability to provide support or experience providing support must be apparent. Past project experience in Revit is required.
  • Experience with Dynamo, Navisworks, Enscape, 3DS MAX, and advanced rendering techniques are a plus.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Architecture (ACA) is also a plus but not required.
  • Other non‐Autodesk systems experience and knowledge (e.g. SketchUp, Rhino, ArchiCAD, Triforma & Generative Components) is a plus.
  • You may be expected to provide at least light support for Adobe CS products, with Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator possible.
  • 3‐5 years’ experience in an architectural/interiors/planning or similarly oriented practice environment.
  • The minimum of an Associate degree in an Architectural Technologies is required; BS Arch, BArch or MArch is desired.
