Key Responsibilities
  • Experience using BIM/Revit software.
  • Strong Revit knowledge with emphasis on project setup and model management.
  • Degree in engineering or related field.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all level of colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Revit issues independently.
  • High level of professionalism.
Typical Duties
  • Responsible for the management of project models for all disciplines.
  • Perform all model maintenance and setup.
  • Lead internal BIM Project kickoff meetings.
  • Act as main point of contact for project related BIM matters.
  • Manage file sharing between internal tk1sc disciplines and all external partners.
  • Manage project folder organization.
  • Act as a leader and coach in the use of BIM to increase office wide confidence in BIM and Revit.
  • Provide technical support to team as needed.
  • Be an active participant in BIM development.
  • Develop tk1sc specific content.
  • Work to standardize workflows and practices between offices and teams.
  • Conduct BIM specific quality control.
  • Review and validate current procedures.
  • Meet one hour monthly with other Revit Coordinators.
  • Work closely with BIM Manager to ensure corporate standards are being met.
  • Maintain a positive attitude towards BIM- be a cheerleader to BIM every day.
  • Provide support to other related platforms (e.g. Bluebeam, Navisworks, AutoCAD).
Qualifications
  • 5+ Years’ experience in BIM, in the Mechanical piping and Plumbing, Electrical and/or Low Voltage field.
  • Superior knowledge of BIM technologies with an understanding of the direction of building information modeling and its impact on the AEC industry.
  • Experience with project extranets and virtual collaboration technologies.
  • Appropriate level of Mechanical Electrical and plumbing design experience.
  • Knowledge of BIM as it applies to construction work packaging, construction planning & sequencing.
  • Understanding of project workflows (schematic design, design development, construction documentation phases) and basic project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, clearly and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Superior knowledge of Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other design technologies with direct experience using prior and current versions.
  • Document Management application experience (Such as Newforma, Projectnet, Prolog, etc.)
  • Management and/or project management experience a plus.
